TL;DR: No. Gathera grow lights are not IP rated for high-humidity environments. Prolonged exposure to moisture will eventually get into the electronics and cause the light to fail.
What ""not IP rated"" means
IP (Ingress Protection) ratings measure how well a device is sealed against water and dust. Our lights are designed for standard indoor home environments, such as a living room, kitchen, or grow shelf, not spaces with persistent condensation or steam.
What counts as high humidity
Bathrooms, enclosed greenhouses, and spaces that regularly exceed around 80% relative humidity are too damp for prolonged use. A brief moment of humidity, like a steamy kitchen, is unlikely to cause immediate damage. It is the sustained exposure that shortens the life of the electronics.
What to do instead
If you are growing in a greenhouse or shed, look for grow lights with an IP65 rating or higher, which are specifically built for wet or outdoor environments. For bathroom plant care, positioning lights outside the room and directing light through a doorway is a practical workaround.
