Plants, just like humans, have their own biological rhythms and cycles. Providing the right conditions for your plants to thrive is essential for successful growth. One crucial aspect of plant care is ensuring they receive the right amount of light at the right time.
Leaving grow lights on 24/7 may seem beneficial, but it can actually be detrimental to your plants' health. Plants require periods of darkness for respiration and growth. Mimicking the natural daylight cycle is key to ensuring your plants receive the optimal amount of light for photosynthesis and rest.
We suggest using the timer setting on our products to ensure that the lights automatically turn on and off daily on a cycle. Note that it is always useful to do a quick search for what light settings your plant likes as some plants may have specific requirements. For example if spinach is exposed to a very long photoperiod (too many hours under sunlight or grow light) then it may bolt (or start sacrificing leaf growth and focus on growing seeds and flowers instead).
