"TL;DR: No, the LEDs in the Sun Bulb are not replaceable. They are soldered directly onto the fitting and cannot be swapped out without professional electrical work.
Why they are built this way
The Sun Bulb uses a premium LED diode that needs to be mounted directly to the transformer for peak efficiency and heat management. This integrated design is what allows the light to reach the performance level and lifespan it does.
What the lifespan actually looks like
The Sun Bulb is rated to 30,000 hours. At 12 hours of daily use, that works out to just under 7 years of continuous operation. By the time the LEDs are approaching end of life, the other components in the light will likely be in a similar position, making a full replacement the more practical call at that point.

What we are working on
As an engineering-led company we are always working towards making future iterations of the Sun Bulb more modular and repairable. That is a genuine goal for us, not a throwaway line."
